How Email Alerts Work
JerseyLaw.ai updates its library every night at approximately 2:00 AM Eastern Time. During each update, the system ingests new court opinions from the New Jersey Supreme Court, the Appellate Division, and federal courts, as well as any newly enacted or amended New Jersey statutes and regulations.
When you create an email alert, you specify a search term — such as a legal topic, a statute citation, a party name, or a keyword — and the document types you care about (case law, statutes, regulations, or all types). After each nightly update, the system checks whether any newly added documents match your term. If they do, you receive an email digest with links to the new documents.
Who benefits from alerts? Attorneys monitoring a specific area of law for new precedent. Compliance officers tracking regulatory changes in their industry. Law students following the development of a doctrine for a seminar paper. Journalists covering a case or legislative issue. Anyone who needs to stay current on a specific area of New Jersey law without checking the library manually every day.
