11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JERSEYLAW.AI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE, EVEN IF JERSEYLAW.AI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey.

14. DMCA Copyright Policy

JerseyLaw.ai respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. The Site aggregates publicly available legal documents from official government sources and academic archives. Primary legal materials — court opinions, statutes, regulations, and constitutional texts — are in the public domain and not subject to copyright protection under 17 U.S.C. § 105 and applicable state law.

If you believe that content on JerseyLaw.ai infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed

We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 10 business days. Counter-notifications may be submitted pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Repeat infringers will have their access to the Site terminated.

15. API Access and Automated Scraping Policy

JerseyLaw.ai does not currently offer a public API. Automated access to the Site — including web scraping, crawling, data harvesting, or any programmatic access that exceeds normal human browsing behavior — is prohibited without prior written permission from JerseyLaw.ai.

We permit the following automated access:

• Search engine crawlers — standard web crawlers from Google, Bing, and other search engines are permitted to index the Site in accordance with our robots.txt file
• Accessibility tools — screen readers, browser extensions, and assistive technologies used by individuals with disabilities
• Academic research — limited, non-commercial automated access for academic research purposes, subject to prior written approval and rate limiting

We prohibit:

• Bulk downloading of documents for commercial redistribution
• Automated queries that place excessive load on our servers (more than 60 requests per minute)
• Circumventing any technical measures we implement to prevent automated access
• Using our content to train commercial AI models without written permission
